What do you mean by “virtual event?”

A virtual event is a live creative experience hosted online
instead of at one of our local venues. We meet in a virtual
space using a live video tool like Zoom.
Guests can interact with one another, smile, laugh, have fun,
and bond across any distance.

Most of our online events are a virtual version of one of our
in-person experiences. We host many virtual paint and sip
parties, as well as online floral design classes with Alice’s
Table, paper crafts, chunky knitted blankets and more.
How does a virtual event work?
How does a virtual event work?

The structure of an online event is similar to an in-person
event and includes many interactive elements. Our hosts do
everything they can to make it a memorable experience—engaging
with the guests, making jokes and sharing tips and tricks to
create something awesome.
All virtual meetings are live streams by real, local artists.
You can ask questions out loud or in the written event chat.
The key things you need for a virtual event are…
● An internet connection
● Electronic device
● All the materials from the event description. (Some tickets
include supplies, which we will ship to you.)
Your confirmation email for an online event will include a
secure link that will only go to the guest list. When it’s time
for the event to start, just click it, and you’ll be in!
What is the difference between virtual and hybrid events?
What is the difference between virtual and hybrid events?
-+
A virtual event is online only. Whereas a hybrid event is split
between online and in-person. This could mean some participants
are face-to-face and others virtual. Or you could have all
attendees together with a virtual host.
What is the difference between virtual and on-demand events?
What is the difference between virtual and on-demand events?
-+
Virtual events are live with a host that you can engage with.
Whereas on-demand events use a pre-recorded video.
There are pros and cons to both. With a virtual event, you can
speak to the other guests and your host if you need help, which
you can't do at an on-demand event. However, you get a seven-day
rental and can pause, rewind and enjoy the video over several
days.
If you’re planning a self-care night, you may prefer to drink
wine and paint at home with an on-demand event. But if you’re
catching up with long-distance friends, family or colleagues, we
highly recommend a live paint and sip party.
What virtual events platform do you use?

Typically our hosts like to use Zoom as it’s user-friendly and
widely used. Still, they can pick from any virtual event
platforms, e.g., some may prefer Google Meets. You will receive
a secure link in your confirmation email so you know exactly
where to find them ahead of time.

Paint Nites are perfect for unwinding, distressing and having
fun. And all this can be achieved in the comfort of your own
home.
Everything that’s shared on our virtual events calendar includes
an event description. Here, you can see if you need any supplies
and what they are. For a Paint Nite, you typically need the
following:
● Acrylic paints (primary colors, black and white)
● 1x paper plate for mixing colors
● A selection of paintbrushes
● 1x canvas
● Paper towels
● Apron
● Table cloth/wipeable surface
We recommend preparing your supplies in advance. That way, when
you click the link in your confirmation email, you’re ready to
go with the rest of the group.
Whether trying a paint party or another experience, your host
will take you through the entire process.

As long as there are spaces left, you can book any time—even on
the date itself. You can see on the event page whether it is
sold out or has limited places.
We also have special
pre-sale tickets

As much as we’d love to have everyone join, each virtual event
has a limit so the host can engage and support all guests. When
we reach that number, the event is sold out, and we can’t add
extra tickets.
But, if someone cancels, our website updates, so there's a
chance to grab a space if you see one become available.
Are there any age restrictions?
Are there any age restrictions?
-+
Each event has an age group: legal drinking age, teens and up or
kids and up. You can also filter your search for fun virtual
events using these groups.
Legal drinking age events (the majority of our calendar) are for
ages 21+ in the U.S., 18 or 19 in Canada (depending on your
province), or the legal drinking age in your area.
We have these age limits as there may be adult language and
humor. Still, if you want to enjoy a family Paint Night at home,
there are plenty of options to explore.

When it comes to family activities at home, a kids’ sip and
paint night is a fantastic choice. Wine and cocktails aren’t the
only drinks allowed at a virtual social event with
PaintNite.com. Soft drinks are always an option too.
There are many benefits to an at-home paint party. One of the
greatest is you don’t have to pack up the kids and get out of
the house.
You can expect attendee engagement, child-friendly humor, and a
warm, non-intimidating atmosphere. Like in-person events,
everyone will receive step-by-step instructions and help
whenever needed.
We love these virtual social events. It's so fun seeing the
multi-generational interpretations on the same project!

asked to leave the house, this is it!

Whether you’re creating a painting at a virtual Paint Nite or
trying our other virtual party ideas, these things will take
your experience up a notch…
● Drinks
● Snacks
● A good playlist
● Speaking with the other guests
● Letting go and having fun (this isn’t a serious art class!)
Chatting and socializing play a significant role in our events,
so we always encourage guests to keep their videos turned on.
It’s one of the things that makes it most fun! That being said,
we never want anyone to feel uncomfortable, so this isn’t a
must.
