Founded in 1983 on the premise that no one should live with violence or the fear of violence, The Laurel Center (TLC) empowers and supports victims of domestic violence by providing emergency housing, advocacy, support services, and education. We reach out to our community through education and awareness programs. Services for victims of sexual assault were added to the program in 1989. Each year, over 100 women and children stay in the emergency shelter and over 2,500 people receive support through our 18 programs and services. The Laurel Center services victims of domestic and sexual violence from the City of Winchester, Frederick County and Clarke County and residents in Warren County for sexual violence.\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\n\\\\\\\\n\\\\n\\n\n
Raise your glass to a NEW kind of night out! Paint Nite® invites you out to create your own unique piece of art, guided by a professional artist and party host. You'll spend two hours painting, laughing, and flexing your creative muscles!
Special Paint Nite® fundraiser event to benefit The Laurel Center! There's no experience necessary and we'll provide all the supplies, so you don't have to worry about a thing (except having a great time!). This event will be led by artist extraordinaire Jenae Jenkins. Jenae is a great artist, teacher and has assisted in promoting and raising funds for many local area organizations! You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to give back to a great cause and enjoying yourself while you do!
The event begins promptly at the start time listed above. Please allow extra time to find parking and get settled. If you're coming with a group, make sure you arrive early to get seats together. We look forward to seeing you at the incredible Bright Box! Named one of the 50 Best Small Music Venues in America, Bright Box showcases some of the best entertainment in the area, and is now hosting it's very first Paint Nite! Enjoy a menu of tasty treats & a wide selection of beverages while you socialize and create your masterpiece!

Jenae continuously looks for a way to bring creativity to her instruction while maintaining an upbeat and positive atmosphere. Always having artistic talent and a love for design, Jenae took her Art training in high school to the next level and acquired a degree in Interior Design. Her work has been showcased through many different media including wall murals, airbrushed show vehicles, and hand painted glassware to name a few. Her style of painting is bold and she is a master in the art of hand lettering. Using the world as her canvas, Jenae believes art cannot be defined by any certain terms and everyone has a creative side waiting to be unleashed!
