Hello there! --- I have always been the creative type with a love for arts, music and crafting. I have been known to fix myself a drink and whip out my art supplies when I'm looking to let loose and let my mind wander: charcoal, watercolor, colored pencils and acrylics are my muse! It should also be noted that I love makeup (it's an art form too!) I studied early childhood development at West Valley, and particularly enjoyed my creative art experiences classes. I became a preschool through kinder-age teacher at a local academic private school. Art has always been my favorite subject to teach, and why I always received the "messiest art project" award from my fellow coworkers and teaching partners. My motto is, if you come home clean, you did not have enough fun! Using different mediums of art and inspiring young children to find their creative side is such a rewarding experience but after several years of teaching, I decided to go back to school to finish my degree. I became the Van Wildress- so to call it after over 10 years of changing my career focus. I recently received my associates degree in Social and Behavioral science. (It's about damn time, Woo hoo!) I am now a private professional nanny, and art enthusiast. While I love kids, it is great to get out and have some adult time too, so that brings me here as an artist for Paint Nite! So if you are a beginner, do not hesitate to join one of my shows! I will go step by step while jamming to some tunes! It should also be noted that I am a total goober, and love to have fun...if you are familiar with Dr. Who you will totally love my sense of humor. If you aren't exactly a "Whovian" do yourself a favor and watch my favorite episode titled "Vincent and the Doctor" season 5 episode 10...where the Doctor travels back in time and space and runs into Vincent Van Gogh who happens to be one of my favorite artists of all time. (NO SPOILERS!) - if you get that pun'... More power to you!! I hope to sip on some cold ones with you in the near future, inspire your creativity, get away for a night and dive head first into some paint to make a masterpiece you can be proud of! CHEERS!
