Create your night the Paint Nite way with fun, drinks, tunes, and a whole lot of color. Choose your favorite painting and come on out for a rocking paint and sip party! No experience necessary - our local artist Jeremy Veldhuis will guide you through all the steps to go from blank canvas to masterpiece. Come out early to NU Kitchen - Somerville for an extra glass of wine and a bite to eat and make a night of it! Paint Night events are a great way to connect, create, and make space for extra fun in your week.

NU Kitchen is the work of founder and CEO Joshua Van Dyke. The cafe seats 60 people, with 12 counter seats along the window, and accommodates everything from casual dining to meet-ups. Customers have the option to dine in or take orders to go.
We pride ourselves on sourcing local ingredients and all-natural meats for our menu, which spans breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with items like breakfast burritos, salad and grain bowls, wraps, soups, and even a selection of local craft beers and creative cocktails. Jeremy Veldhuis is an illustrator and a painter in Boston. His work covers a wide variety of subjects and media from screen printed band posters to oil paintings to graphic design. He has a BFA from the Art Institute of Boston.
He grew up in Upstate New York but loves clam chowder enough to call himself a New Englander. When he isn't teaching for Paint Nite he is running his art business Jeremy Veldhuis Illustration, Netflix binging, playing guitar, or planning his next getaway.
