Amaze yourself at an Original Paint Nite party, when you casually execute your own masterpiece in just a handful of steps. Choose your painting and your night, and then just bring your friends and your laughs to Famous Dave's (Chantilly) on an upcoming day night and we'll do the rest! No experience necessary. Our master artist Rachael Carter will guide you through the process step-by-step, so you'll go from blank canvas to work of art before you know it, all while sharing good times with old friends and new. Rachael Carter attributes her early creative inspiration to growing up in a home with her father, an artist. In addition to her father's influence on her artist style, she was drawn at an early age to the work of the post-impressionists – in particular the expressive landscapes of Vincent van Gogh. She studied his paintings extensively and developed many techniques that she has incorporated into her own work for the past 10 years. She discovered her own unique style by studying the artists that she admired. One of Rachael's first outlets for her creative expression was photography. She formally studied photography and darkroom techniques as a young adult. Her photographic works of art were not only displayed locally but, were also part of regional travailing art shows. Rachael loves color and uses a vivid colorful palette to set her work apart. She also considers herself to be very blessed to have grown up in picturesque Fauquier Virginia. She is always inspired by the beauty of the land and many of her landscapes are scenes from this beautiful area of Virginia.
