Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned painter, you'll be provided with all the tools and guidance to make your masterpiece. Join us for a night of fun and relaxation and leave with a one-of-a-kind work of art!

Our store has thousands Books, Records, CDs, VHS, and even 8-tracks! Our art Gallery displays fine art works from local artists, along with more accessible art displays for you to take home. The Cafe serves sandwiches, drinks, candy, snacks and is licensed. Founded by a father and son, Bowness Arts intends to put the local community at the forefront of our business. *This building is not wheelchair accessible. I have a profound love for the beauty and mystery of the earth and it’s inhabitants. After many years contemplating the figure I’ve recently found freedom and joy in exploring the abstract by using bright colours and organic shapes as well as experimenting with images of nature and animals. I enjoy teaching people all the skills I've learned. If you've always wanted to learn a craft, get in touch! I look forward to having fun and getting into the creative flow with you!

Yes. Little Garden Ghost is designed to be achievable at any experience level. More satisfying than it looks difficult — Christy breaks every step down clearly. Most of our guests have never picked up a brush before, and they leave with something they're genuinely proud of. Worth knowing: Paint Nite events happen at real bars and restaurants, not studios — it's a night out that happens to involve painting.
A painting class teaches you technique. Paint Nite gives you a finished painting and a good night. Christy is a real local artist — not a teacher running a curriculum — and this event happens at Bowness Arts, a real local spot, not a studio. Paint Nite invented this format in 2012 and has sold more than 10 million tickets. The trade-off is honest: lighting varies, it can get loud, and the person at the next easel is a stranger. That's the point. It's more of a night out than a class.

Yaymaker is Paint Nite. We brought both brands together under the Paint Nite name — same artists, same events, same format we invented in 2012. More than 10 million tickets have been sold across both brands combined. If you used to attend Yaymaker events in Calgary, you're in the right place. Welcome back.
Your ticket to Little Garden Ghost includes the canvas, all the paint you'll need, the use of brushes and an apron during the event, and step-by-step instruction from Christy. Drinks and food are ordered separately from Bowness Arts — you pay the venue directly for anything you eat or drink.
Bowness Arts's doors open at 10:00 AM, the event starts at 5:00 PM. We suggest showing up by 4:30 PM to give yourself time to pick your seats, get a drink and maybe a bite before Christy starts the painting.
You can reschedule your ticket to any other Paint Nite event up to 24 hours before this one starts. After that, tickets are locked — no refunds or changes. If Paint Nite cancels this event for any reason, you'll receive a full automatic refund.
