Discover how to turn simple-looking paper strips into beautiful art by paper quilling. Paper quilling involves paper strips that are rolled, looped, curled, and manipulated in other ways to produce and combine shapes to create designs.
Quilling is not just an art, it also helps with relaxation and hand-eye coordination. Quilling works well for kids and adults.
In this workshop, your host Trupti More will introduce you to tools and on-edge quilling techniques. With these techniques, we will make a beautiful rose. We will mount that rose on a matt board and then frame it in a shadow box.
You can use these same on-edge quilling techniques to make more beautiful items.
You can use this frame to decorate your room or can give it as a gift.
No prior experience is required to make this beautiful rose.
Your host will provide all the materials, you just come with scissors and a lot of patience.

Shipgarten is a large 35,000 SQ FT venue with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and just across the street from the McLean Metro Station. It is fully equipped with a dog park, kids playground, music pavilion and our four unique food and beverage concepts that are held out of separate shipping containers!
I’m a self-taught paper quilling artist; refining my craft with repeated trials and practice. I find happiness in creating beautiful and colorful designs made from paper strips. Paper quilling involves strips that are rolled, looped, curled, and otherwise manipulated to produce shapes that combine to create designs. Quilling helps in relaxation and meditation.
It's been more than 8 years since I am doing quilling and it's been almost 4 years since I am teaching in local areas.
