Paint Nite is an awesome social painting experience! It's the
perfect way to get creative and learn something new while having
a great time (and a drink or two).
We host nights out at local bars, restaurants, and venues, where
you can follow along with a talented instructor as they show you
how to complete your own masterpiece. It’s a great way to
connect with friends and family or meet new people in your area.
This isn’t about creating fine art but having a good time and a
memorable night.
Whether you’re treating your mum for Mother’s Day, catching up
with friends or need a fun activity for the kids, a Calgary
paint night will do it all.
You can usually grab tickets for a Paint Nites in Calgary for around C$39, but this is at the host's discretion.
Rather than meeting in a studio, we host all our paint and sip nights in restaurants and bars near you. For example, Buffalo Bobs Canadian Pub, The Shark Club (Barlow) and Stonegate Pub.
You do not need any painting experience to participate in Paint Nite. The local artist will guide you step-by-step through the painting process, making it perfect for beginners.
A complete art set will be waiting for you at the event: canvas,
brushes, paint, an easel, an apron…you name it.
You may want to wear clothes you don't mind getting paint on.
Not that we plan on you getting splashed, but accidents do
happen!
You absolutely get to keep your painting once the night is over! It’s the perfect reminder of all the fun you had.
You can hang your painting loud and proud, store it in the
basement to look back on, or even paint over it in white so you
can reuse the canvas later!
It’s mainly about the experience and memories you make on the
night anyway, so what happens next is up to you.
Not only do we run in-person events, but we also host at-home
classes! With our online events, you can have the same fun
without leaving the house. You’ll still receive the same
step-by-step help, jokes and interaction.
You can also enjoy pre-recorded classes if you check out our
on-demand events.
Public events aren’t BYOB—they’re in local eateries and bars,
mainly for the legal drinking age and above.
However, if you are running a private event, depending on where
you’re hosting from, you can bring your own food and drink.
We’re here to help with all of life’s special events. You can
reach out to your favourite host and organize your party with
them or contact our events team at Yaymaker, who will put you in
touch with someone nearby.
A private event is perfect for anyone planning a birthday party,
bridal shower, team-building event or any other special
occasion.
Private events require only a light lift from you—our team will
cover the rest. Your job is to find an inviting space (you can
use one of our partner venues) and send invites. We’ll handle
all the logistics.
Our artists have created over 30,000 original paintings for you to choose from, ranging from landscapes and animals to holiday-themed designs.
Most in-person events last around two hours, but you can come early or stay later and keep the fun rolling after the session is over.
Most paint and sip Calgary events are for the legal drinking age and upwards. But we do also run kids-friendly events. To find them, just search for sip and paint nights near you and turn on the “Kids And Up+” filter.
