Clean, comfortable, minimalist rooms. Fantastic location where I felt safe as a solo female traveler. I walked to and from the SAP Center multiple times, to San Pedro Square Market and beyond. The real gem was the staff, who were so kind and interactive, especially the women at the front desk and their supervisor (I’m sorry I didn’t get names)!! Thanks so much for being kind, gracious about the mistake I made with my reservation, engaging in conversation with me, waving to me every time I left or came back to the hotel, and generally making me feel so welcome in San Jose! + The parking garage attached to the hotel was extremely convenient and shared by corporate offices - I also felt very safe using it.
Stayed at the hotel at the start of our holiday, just after our flight, so we could rest before travelling the next day. The Hotel appears new and rooms were clean and spacious. The Hotel is very well designed and furnished. We only stayed on night but the breakfast in the morning was substantial and a big thankyou for the chef, who helped my wife with the waffle maker and provided us with an eggs benedict surprise, which was very tasty. I notice there are a lot of complaints about parking. I'm wondering if they're reviewing the right hotel. We parked in the basement of the hotel at no extra charge.
I had a wonderful stay at the AC Hotel San Jose Downtown, and I have to give a special shoutout to Ruth for truly making my experience memorable in the smallest, most thoughtful ways. From the moment I checked in, she took the time to review my room preferences, something that has only happened once before in all my years with Marriott. That level of attention to detail immediately stood out. She also kindly helped accommodate a late checkout, which made my trip so much smoother. When I had trouble with my room keys, Ruth didn’t just send me on my way, she had someone come up with me so I didn’t have to go back and forth. It was such a small gesture, but it made a big difference after a long day. What really impressed me was how she remembered me. When I returned from work, she greeted me and even double checked my keys to make sure everything was working properly. That kind of care and attentiveness is rare. Ruth is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cares about guests. Marriott is lucky to have her. Thank you, Ruth, for going above and beyond, I truly appreciate you!
