Had a small celebration for my son’s birthday at Kelseys Original Roadhouse, and honestly, we went in a bit hesitant.
With a toddler, it’s always tricky—and after trying a few indoor play places, he was already quite tired. We didn’t expect much, but this turned out to be a really good decision.
The environment was calm and comfortable—not too loud—which made it perfect for a family outing. What really stood out was how thoughtfully everything was handled. They surprised us with a lovely cheese cake with crackling candles presentation, which truly made the moment special.
My son was given drawing paper and crayons, which kept him happily engaged (big win for any parent 😊). He also received some complimentary snacks, which was a very kind gesture.
We got to enjoy our food peacefully while he stayed occupied, and that made all the difference.
The staff was very courteous and accommodating throughout—making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of without being intrusive.
Coming to food—some items really stood out:
* The fajitas and starters were fresh and flavourful
* Chicken tenders & fries were simple but well done (perfect for kids)
* Nachos / shareables are a safe and good choice
I’d probably avoid the pasta-based mains next time—they felt a bit basic and not as exciting as the starters.
It turned into a genuinely enjoyable evening for all of us. Simple, warm, and well-handled.
Would definitely come back again.

I've been going to this Kelseys location since I was little. Always have been satisfied with the the food and service. I had just recently celebrated my birthday with my family and had such an amazing time. 👏🏽😊🤗

I’ve been to Kelseys before and usually had a decent experience, but this Brampton location was really disappointing.
The food felt stale. We ordered a burger with sweet potato fries but got regular fries instead. That wouldn’t have been a big deal, but the fries were soggy and seemed like they had been sitting out for a while, so we didn’t eat them. The burger also didn’t taste fresh, even the bun felt like it had been sitting for too long.
I also ordered the chicken Thai curry with noodles, but it came with rice instead. Again, I could have overlooked that, but unfortunately there was a hair in the dish. I had to send it back without even taking a bite.
Overall, it was a very poor experience, and wasted our money! we ended up going somewhere else to eat. Really disappointed with this visit.
