Much beyond its expertise in crafting beers, it is the values of inclusiveness and accessibility it cultivates that make R&B an institution in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood. The space is welcoming and cozy, with wood tables and counters, a variety of seating options, and clear signals of inclusiveness ~ from being a platform for Drag Shows and offering a budget friendly brunch on weekends, to offering toys for kids and having its own "library". Please tip the hardworking staff well! We need places like this to thrive in Vancouver!!
Enjoy this place! My pizza and beer where both really good, and the vibe is good, but have to subtract a star for a crazy high price for a pint. My beer was $11.50 something like that, and this is beer brewed on premise, so not even a can/bottle is needed which should lower cost as well. I'll come back for the lunch pint/pizza special but don't think I'll ever be rich enough to go here for pints. I know Van costs are high but if its $12 a pint of their own beer brewed on premise, I'll just sadly opt to stay home until I win the lottery.
Have come here a few times now. The $10 brunch menu is amazing. Great bar.
