This place is a bit of a hidden gem that you wouldn't necessarily know about unless you go into the hotel, but it was absolutely phenomenal. The service was amazing and every single dish we ordered was incredible. The mussels are an absolute must order!
March 01, 2026 Stopped in for dinner with a friend. I ordered the cream of mushroom soup of the day, the ceasar salad and a soda. She had the 1/2 Kale salad, parsnip+celeriac soup, and a lemonade. The food came out very quickly and was very good. The ceasar dressing seems to be a vinegar base instead of a creamy base. It was good but not very garlicky. We spent $78 including taxes and tip.
Been coming to Smith for years now and it never disappoints. Stopped in a few days ago and the wild mushroom pasta was as good as I remembered, rich and earthy without being too heavy. The staff recognized a few of us regulars and that kind of warmth is genuinely hard to find in a city restaurant. If you haven't made this a regular spot yet, you're really missing out on one of Winnipeg's best.
