The service was really good, but food was nah, overpriced for the portion, quality and taste. We were waiting for 40 mins to get appetizer and bread service came out when they were not busy, corn dip was really mild, baguette bread was hard to chew, guess bread was done for a while, pita bread was cold. The bread service was not like what menu described, but server fixed really quick. Meat loaf was not bad, but Salmon was a big disappointment, 28 bucks for a 6oz size, not worth it. They barely put pecan on the salmon, I don’t even know why they call it pecan crusted salmon. BTW the pecan was definitely not toasted. Orange crepe was fine, but they forgot to put the ice cream we asked for.
It’s cool to sit in an unique house and see the river view, but I’ll not recommend it to anyone

All I can really say to sum up our experience is - AMAZING. Really, no other words will do it justice. I cannot recommend Crane and Pelican enough for events. I reserved the restaurant for a reception dinner and was totally blown away, especially by the incredible staff and owner. I have gotten so many compliments on the restaurant, the staff, the owner, the food, etc., and I want to give credit where it is due. Several guests have mentioned how beautiful the night was, and the event was truly memorable. The staff totally worked their butts off to make it so. I could go on and on. Thank you again to the owner and staff that made the event possible.
Side note: To top it off, the pricing was incredibly transparent and reasonable. I was able to text the owner directly and always got quick responses which made planning easy! As if it couldn't get better!

Eating at the Crane & Pelican Cafe was our best dining experience while visiting Le Claire. Everything we had was delicious, and the staff was super attentive and made for a great experience.
The food was fantastic with the crowd favorite being the lobster mac and cheese. There were no complaints - everyone enjoyed their meals.
We managed to save room for dessert and were glad we did. The Nipples of Venus were incredible, and the Rainbow Cake was some of the best cake we can remember having.
It was an all around great experience and great meal to celebrate an anniversary.
