Absolutely loved Bulwark Cider House! Every cider we tried was delicious. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. We arrived right when they opened, and the bartender (who was the only staff member there at the time) was incredible. He was funny, kind, personable, and made the whole experience even better. Despite handling everything himself, he never missed a beat and made us feel right at home. Excellent ciders, great atmosphere, and exceptional service. Easily a 100/10 experience. We'll definitely be back!

Cider? Yes please! Pizza? Double yes please! Flight options are available, but Orchard Peach called my name. The Antipasti pizza was a great pairing. The taproom is cozy yet spacious. On a warmer day there are both a street level and rear patio. June 15, 2026 J

I was in Halifax on business with a bit of spare time and needed a spot for supper. It had been one of those days, and all I wanted in life was a good cider. A quick search led me to Bulwark Cider House, and walking through those doors turned out to be the best decision I made all trip. I was greeted by genuinely friendly staff (visited 05/11/2026 at 6:00 PM), and right away I knew I’d found the right place. As a cider drinker, I’m used to breweries offering endless beer options and maybe—maybe—two ciders poured from a can into a glass. It never feels the same. Not here. Bulwark is a full-on cider paradise. I ordered a flight with Strawberry Rhubarb, Blackberry, Peach, and Original, and honestly… IT WAS AMAZING. For once, I got to enjoy a proper flight just like everyone else at a brewery. Each cider had its own personality, and it was the kind of lineup that makes you slow down and appreciate every sip. For food, I went with the Deluxe Flatbread Pizza, which hit the spot perfectly. I couldn’t finish it — not because of the quality, but because the cider flight had already done its job. No regrets. What really stood out was how welcoming the place felt. As an out-of-towner, it’s rare to walk into a spot and feel like a regular right away, but that’s exactly the vibe here. My only regret? I went to buy a sweater on the way out and they didn’t have an XL. I would’ve proudly sported a Bulwark hoodie back home. Maybe next time — and there will be a next time. Highly recommend for anyone who loves cider, good food, and even better hospitality.
