Casa Bonita Coffee & Bakery was the first cafe to introduce mochi donuts to Ottawa. Tucked into Fisher Heights Plaza on Baseline Road, the gorgeous space blends Asian and Western cafe traditions with a focus on freshly made mochi donuts, croffles, and specialty coffees.

If you're dining out with little ones in Ottawa, you have to check out Casa Bonita Cafe. What sets this place apart, and what I absolutely love, is their dedication to keeping kids happy and occupied. Forget the usual boring crayons and a single sheet of paper—Casa Bonita offers a fantastic selection of toy options! It made our coffee outing so much more relaxed, allowing my partner and I to actually enjoy our meal while the kids were genuinely busy and having fun. That alone earns them five stars in my book! Beyond the kid-friendliness, the general atmosphere is genuinely lovely. It's bright and welcoming, with a cool, picturesque floral wall that's perfect for anyone looking to snap a trendy Instagram photo (I definitely did!). The staff are incredibly nice and attentive; I believe they are Vietnamese, and they offer service with a warm, genuine smile. They really made us feel welcome. Another highlight is the massive variety of desserts. If you have a sweet tooth, you'll be spoiled for choice! My only minor critique is that the decorations sometimes felt a bit "messy" or perhaps just overdone, but it didn't detract much from the overall positive experience. Overall, this is a genuinely good spot. It's a lifesaver for parents and a pleasant cafe for anyone. It’s a must try place.
We found this spot by luck, heading home. Decided to stop because we thought that the name was so funny: it’s two portuguese words that literally means Beautiful House. And it is! The cakes are delicious and beautifully presented. The desserts amazing: the tiramisu is wonderful! I tried the cinnamon latte wich i adore. And decoration is beautiful. That wall of roses is a wonderful idea.
One of if not my absolute favourite cafes in Ottawa! The interior space is super clean and modern. A perfect space for studying. The food and drink here is also delicious. My favourite item so far has been the Black Forest cake. Their banh mi is also super tasty. The staff is kind especially this one worker. He always seems to go above and beyond and has amazing recommendations.
